About
Pretty and poisonous, Holli Hemlock is a bouquet of deadly flowers and joyful, unapologetic queerness, spreading glitter and rage wherever she performs. A high-glam, politically charged burlesque artist, Holli's work blends spectacle with embodied intensity, using the body to explore power, pleasure, anger, and joy. Their performances seize the gaze and turn it back on their own terms.
Blooming into burlesque in 2024 after training with GiGi Holliday and Jo Boobs Weldon at the New York School of Burlesque, Holli developed a practice rooted in trans embodiment, somatic awareness, and movement-forward storytelling. Their work shifts between anger and joy, grief and euphoria, stillness and eruption, creating performances that invite audiences into shared presence and connection.
Mx Hemlock has performed across the United States from coast to coast, and is now beginning to appear in festivals and international showcases. They were a finalist for the 2026 Silver Tusk Video Star award and will be featured in the 2026 Vancouver International Burlesque Festival. In 2025, Holli produced and hosted Glitter Uprising: A Deliciously Disobedient Queer Revue, under the moniker of Pretty & Poisonous Productions, centering queer joy, resistance, and collective liberation.
In addition to performing, Holli serves as IT Lead for BurlyCon and was recognized by the organization with a Newbie Award in 2024 for community care and service. Their work emphasizes presence and transformation, leaving audiences altered, not merely entertained.
